Just finished it.

Jesus Christ on a crusty brown roll.

That.

Was.

Fucking.

Awesome.

And I do not use that term lightly. I mean, how many games have the balls to end like that? Seriously. That's not something you're ever going to see in Call of Duty 7 or Cover-Based Shooter #48851. That ending was pure wacky awesome.

New song was cool. I personally prefer "Still Alive", but the new one is good.

Valve are incredible. Maybe saying that makes me a fanboy, I don't care. They're brilliant. Period.

...

"Space? Space! Spaaaaaaaaaace!"

I'm going to enjoy that now before it become the new "cake is a lie."

Don't forget: "That's not part of the test. That's asbestos."

Yeah, Zhukov, that came across a little bit excessively fanboyish...

Valve deserves it.

You understand that yours are also the words of a fanboy, though.

Yes. Yes I do.

That renders them 0% persuasive. I'll see when I get the game, but I'm more inclined to believe Assaultman67's point of view, which actually seems quite balanced.

So yeah. Take it for what it's worth. Which may be very little.

However, you know I'm not easily impressed.

Portal 2 isn't perfect. It's merely awesome.

No, I don't know that you're not easily impressed, I actually know that you're easily impressed by certain types of games.

To be honest, I'd have to agree with Ren. Based on what you've posted on this forum, you're very extreme when it comes to your opinions about games- either they make you squeal like a 6 year old Japanese schoolgirl and lower your IQ by about 30 points because they reach some obscure standard of "good" in your mind, or you think they're bland or even crappy because they fail to do so.

So... you're saying I like some games and dislike others?

Uh... yeah. Guilty as charged.

I dunno, i just feel that if im not hopelessly addicted to a game, it doesn't deserve 10 out of 10 :P ...

but yea, there were a few times where i got frustrated when solving puzzles ... the level of difficulty wasn't too hard, or too easy, it just simply lacked more of the pure fun factor that I was looking for

rather than all of it be puzzle after puzzle, I think there needed to be a few where you just portal around the room and do fun stuff. Similar to maps seen in a skateboarding game ... except with portals, gels, ramps, plates, etc.

I might just make a map or two designed just to do that.

You like and dislike entire genres because of some arbitrary and nonsensical grading scale that seems to lack any sort of a middle ground.

Talk about a straw man argument. You seem to be easily impressed by games that try something outside the norm, if indie all the better, and heavily against things like Triple A titles, regardless of the quality of their game mechanics. You generally seem to lap one side up and projectile vomit at the thought of the other.

That's the real beauty of puzzle games like this, I suppose...community-driven content creation! I'm sure some people will make some awesome levels for Portal 2.
