my artsy thread (some slightly mature content)

Post by bummer6 » Mon Apr 11, 2011 5:17 pm

Hi! I'm Tim and hopefully some day I'll be a concept artist. :) For now I'm still in training, but I'll be posting my paintings and random doodles here for you to enjoy. Any criticism is welcome. Since it's late I'll just post something small to get the ball rolling. Here's a quick rabbit head I painted today, inspired by overgrowth.

I'll probably post more stuff tomorrow. Cheers!

Those small ears and a cute ":3" like smile makes him look like a child <D

Thanks for the feedback guys. I was thinking the ears looked small myself, but I already spent more time on it than I intended, so I just left it like that. Today I'll post some art not related to overgrowth.

Here's a shaman-ish character with a very crappy looking sword.

And this is my redesign of the aliens from the old amiga game "Another world" or as it was known in the US, "Out of this world".

I would love to disintegrate that guy with a laser, or maybe crush him with a cage.

I see you have played the game, and you recognize him. :D Good to know I'm not the only one who liked it.

Cool stuff!
The shaman's proportions are kinda wonky, works if you wanted to go for a semi cartoony style though.

I know, but for some reason I kinda prefer it that way. :) Anyway, today I'm going to rest a little, I'll post more stuff soon though.

I hope you don't rest too long! Your art is good, I'd love to see more of it.

Man, I was just talking about how cool Out of this World and Flashback would be if they were remade today all the games like that were so awesome, but I think those two were the best.

Ok... This may not be the Overgrowth related painting I promised you guys, but I guess you could say it's KINDA overgrowth related since it's half man, half beast... I dunno, I'll let you guys decide. Also, if the forum has a problem with a penis, then just PM me and I'll upload a cencored verson. lol
