we ended up chipping away at it for 30 minutes until we just started carpet bombing the thing with TNT.

There's a difference.

Yeah. Guys, we're completely in the wrong here...
They're not the same at all.

In fact,
Lava over the water CAUSED the Cobble Tower.
Water over the lava SOLVED the Cobble Tower (with the assistance of controlled explosions).

Edit: Also, I don't know how many of you visits the SPF, but I did create a thread for the server in there. [Link]

So Officially the server is not really exclusive to preorderers now? Sweet. I feel all respectable playing minecraft now.

Hehe. "Controlled" explosions :P

But yes. Poor decisions were made by many. At least it's over now.

We did accidentally turn the tower into a crater with somewhat excessive TNT

But that only took about 15 minutes to fill in. (really about 45 minutes)

...With the help of some nifty landscaping shortcuts. Just don't let any building code inspectors onto the server :?

It appears that the people in the SPF sort of turned the idea of a community-based Minecraft server to the side. It drowned in a horde of "help me I'm new here" threads created after it.

To hell with them. We don't need them. The Randomness board is where all the regulars are, anyway. The SPF is just for the n00bs. Image

It seems to be that way, more and more. Anyways, we have a solid population of 4-5 on the server right now, which is really plenty.

I need about 3 or 4 more of me on the server.

No offense freshbite, but every time I go onto the server, I keep thinking you're going to add something HORRIBLE to that "special project" im working on. :P

(even though you seem to spot imperfection about as often as me.)

I'm too skeptical about my own abilities that I would never let myself to imperfection. Image
You are the handier ant though, that's for sure.

Unfortunately, I think that its only a matter of time before someone finds it and blows it up/burns it/lava & water/etc.

I DEMAND A PASSWORD BE SET FOR THE SERVER AND TRIPLE AUTHENTICATION BE ACTIVATED.
