A new screen shot of the sprite sheet. I left my new code files at school, so I couldn't do anymore on those today so I worked on sprites and deciding what races to include in Dominance.

Hmm. Well, I suppose I should try o find the old build of Dominance from the day before I lost the code. If I can find that build, I'll upload it so you guys can see where I was. I hope I can get my OG mod done tonight, but it's taking a lot longer than I thought it might. If I can finish, then I can make progress on Dominance.

I'm not sure what the music in Dominance will be like, but I enjoy making music.
I've been meaning to learn to make soundfonts so that I could get the exact sounds I want in my music. I've made 3 here, and I figured I might as well share them.

Well, I just realized that Dominance has a decent early concept for design and gameplay, but no setting. It has a place and factions and such, but no place in time or style. Like how Dead Space is scifi, or OG is medieval-esque. So.

I have a few genre's I could pick from and be happy with:
I make it a sci-fi action-adventure platformer with some RPG elements (No leveling ).
Or...
I make it a medieval-esque action-adventure platformer with some RPG elements (No leveling).
Or...
I make it a wasteland Rage-esque action-adventure platformer with some RPG elements (No leveling).

Not the most original designs, I know. So does any of the three people who look at this thread have a suggestion or vote? I'll put up a Tweet as well. I've got like 12 followers, so they might say something.

Looks fun. I love 2D-platforming more than anything else, and this has a promising concept.
I take it as of right now, there are no further controls than for moving and jumping, atleast from what I could find.

Keep up the good work, and let us know of any further releases. You should really implement a frame-cap though, I easily jumped out of the frame before I had time to realize what just happened. Image

Yes, I had climbing in the last time I did the game, but then I lost the 500 line main code file and had to start that part over. Had it back in one month (And a hundred lines shorter, to boot), but I left the 20 lines for climbing out until a little later
Haha, yeah. There is no frame cap. I'll put that in soon for faster computers. Before I started trying to load an XML, I had a few platforms to jump on and it feels pretty good to me. I should have it loading multiple boxes next update, as well.
And I will keep you guys posted. You're the only people who would download it anyways :lol:

Been like 15 days since the last post here. A quick update, just before this coming up weekend. Alpha 2 is in the works.
I've started work on a GUI to allow the player to change what they are wearing in-game in real time to show off the clothing display as well as change the character they play as.
If I finish that part early, then I'll resume working on loading multiple boxes via XML rather than just the one.
I did apply SFML's V-Sync, so we'll see if that fixes the issue with framerate.
I added Turner's appropriate clothing of rope armor and dark green trousers.
Added two gas mask that are totally un-Dominance-related because a friend wanted 'em.
