Awesome free game you just have to try!

Don't worry about that it's a beta, it works perfectly.

I discovered this game awhile ago and I love it. Too bad I'm absolutely terrible at it. I just go on the forums and use other people's moves.

I never worry about anything being v1.0 or Alpha or Beta :D

*Looks at it and/or downloads it*

Here's a move I just made with 1000 match time. It's not that practical for online play, but it looks kind of cool. Note the kick to the crotch at the beginning.

Wow this game is hard. They don't even give you a computer opponent and it's hard. How these guys can pull off ariel acrobatics amazes me everytime.

Anyways, I played a few rounds of multiplayer, and it is awesome. The chat is always alive with people constantly typing in, "Use the hips! The legs, the legs!" "ouch, papa been slapped!" "contract the abs! Push off! Very entertaining, just waiting your turn is really fun.

But yeah, you really have to watch the training videos that show you how to jump and kick, it's extremely confusing the first couple of times.

Fun. :D

Although i keep trying to pull the guys head off and what happens is i rep both his arms off and some times his shoulders.

I am really funny when it comes to kicking.

What I like to do, is set engage distance at 70, then crouch slightly, and thrust your arms upward, by contracting the abs muscles and raising your shoulders. (make sure your hands are sticky, this can be done by clicking on them) if you aimed right your hands will stick to their arms. Then lower your shoulders really hard until you hear the satisfying crunch. Now proceed to use the arms ase nunchucks.

Why is it that even when I do grab something and PULL, PULL, PULL, nothing happens??? :evil:

Also, yes, Toribash is amazing, and it doesn't take long to learn what each muscle/joint does (At least it didn't for me, and I didn't read a single part of the online manual, just the offline one that comes with the download 8))

I was trying to do the scissor kick that was posted on the Toribash forum and then, since I wasn't sure if I did it right, I decided that I'd grab his head and rip it off. But I forgot to turn on "Grip" so he just double-punched him. When I went to grab his head again, I ripped the second player in half.
How to:
(first part taken from the Scissor Kick post here: Post)
Hold All (for both models)
Extend both glutes
Contract both hips
Contract both knees
Extend abs
Extend both ankles
Extend both pecs
Contract neck
<space>
<space>
Extend knees
<space until you're butt is on the ground>
Raise shoulders
Contract both pex
<space>
Lower both shoulders
<space>
Raise both shoulders
*RIIIIIIIP!!!*
<add in silly finishing stance here>

It needs a little refining to make it look cooler, but it works.
:D

Two things:
1: I never do moves defined specifically by a set of joints to move in this way and blah blah, I always just think of what to move to get the right result, and do it (Fluid move style, that is)
2: It seems that I cannot play toribash online, because a new version is required, is there a new version for macintosh? I CANNOT play without a new version for mac (At least not online, which is the only real value toribash has) :cry:

Aww, yeah it says I need new version too.
I'll try to redownload the same dmg and see if they have updated it.

Edit: :D The OSX version is no longer a beta and it's on their front page.
It's the same as the latest WhineDOS client.
