You guys have probably seen these but they're pretty damn amazing ... definitely puts AMV's in a different light than usual.
Nostromo is really good at making AMV's ... only problem is I think his music selection is a bit hit and miss since he seems to really like techno.

Hum, I've never seen any of those you posted, Assaultman. I specially liked the Binary Overdrive amv
(the start reminded me of Ragnarok Online, which admitedly has some of the awesomest soundtracks, I have "Rose of Sharon" and "Sleeping Volcano" playing in the background whenever I'm on the PC)
And you can't go wrong with Nickelback, which fit that One Piece quite nicely. ;D

I didn't like the ones I watched.
Some (like the two first from OP, and the Basilisk one) just didn't give me anything the music alone wouldn't give, and the music wasn't enough to keep me watching the video. Perhaps they'd worked better if I had watched and was a fan of either the series or the music.
For some, the music and the video didn't seem synced enough, for some reason. The Nostromo videos' music was a miss for me, but I could see that they were technically great.
The Rurouni Kenshin one had a song that seems to match the series well, but the visuals were 1) very poor in resolution and 2) the effects and timing and cutting didn't really work.
I'm not that hard to please, though. For example, a pretty simple music combined with good visuals is fine. Here's a Shura No Toki clips combined with some fitting instrumental music.
For some reason I find bits of 'I scream' in some videos I otherwise find well done and/or hilarious, like that Shura no Toki video above and this Nanoha/Hellsing abomination. There's several other humorous ones I quite like, for example something mixing the opening of one cartoon with clips from another with a very different theme.
Hellsing to Sailor Moon's (Swedish) opening
Darker Than Black to Darkwing Duck theme
This is also a favourite: Tengen Toppa Gurrenn Lagann to that song from Mulan. I still think this AMV was more manly and awesome than the series itself, but I understand why some people prefer the series.

@Endoperez, I don't know why, but for some reason I don't like Disney's songs in English. =x
This one was in "Road to El Dorado", it's not the movie's version, but I like this one better anyway.
