This took me some time to arrange, since I had to think back to animes I haven't seen in a long while. That being the case, characters from that long ago never really came to mind, so here are my Current Top 5 Favorite Anime characters (Game characters? I don't even know if I have any favorites on that part).

I've kept this as spoiler-free as possible.

  • Nr 5:
    • Image
            • - Apachai Hopachai -
  • From the anime, "History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi". He is one of the five masters ruthlessly training Kenichi to be the [INSERT NAME OF ANIME HERE]. Apachai is a generally calm person, tending to animals and other wildlife in his spare time. But he often go overboard with things in the heat of battle and has a hard time controlling his strength when training Kenichi.

  • Nr 4:
    • Image
            • - "Neko" / "Sex kitten" -
  • From the anime, "Bakemonogatari". I can't really say much about her (including her real name) without revealing too much of the anime's storyline. She has a lovely personally, being sort of an airhead, great sex appeal and tends to breaks up much tension in the anime.

  • Nr 3:
    • Image
              • - Shichika Yasuri -
  • From the anime, "Katanagatari". The story's main protagonist, which you follow on his journey through the entire series. You see a lot of character evolvement from his part as he is slowly being "civilized", so to say, all while the anime takes place. It is a person you naturally come to like and, with the ending of the anime, really can sympathize with.

  • Nr 2:
    • Image
              • - Turnip -
  • Not really from an anime, but from a Japanese movie studio called Studio Ghibli, the movie "Howl's Moving Castle". Turnip is what he appears to be, a scarecrow with an upside-down turnip as a head. He can't speak and has a fixed face (as if drawn upon the head) which is always smiling. During the course of the film, he assist the main characters in various ways and you grow to love him simply for his cheer excellence.

  • Nr 1:
    • Image
              • - Shizuo Heiwajima -
  • From the anime, "Durarara!!". Shizuo is quickly labeled as the strongest man in the city of Ikebukuro, where nearly the entire anime takes place. He is regularly calm and a very passive individual on his own, but often drags unwanted attention to himself. Once startled, he change his attitude completely, and will often go to severe lengths in order to illustrate his disapproval of the situation. He is known for wearing a bartender suit and blue glasses, and for throwing large object such as trash cans, vending machines and often other people.

Never really been huge on anime, the only ones I've ever watched/read were Deathnote and High school of the dead. But may as well chuck out L/Mellow from Deathnote, also Ryuk.

As perhaps you may know, Studio Ghibli made both of those movies, and they've done many more. I recently saw a couple of their films, all being good, but some more than the rest.
  • - Tonari no Totoro
    - Neko no Ongaeshi (Both of these are also made by Studio Ghibli)

Other "anime movies" that are also good:
  • - Paprika
    - Black Rock Shooter

Yes, indeed, it's one of my favorites! Anyway, I didn't know they had more movies, though, I'll have to check them out as well, Turnip got me more interested. =)

I don't watch much anime. Um... Don't watch much TV at all, actually...
I dunno... Gundam was pretty cool. Wasn't old enough to really get into it back in the day, though.
Video games, however, I was raised on!

Spyro - Spyro the Dragon
Image
I was pretty much raised on this game  Holds some really fun memories and I still go back and lay these game now and then. I love Spyro's personality. He's that sort of in your face cool guy who's just the right amount of cocky.

Bill Grey - Starfox
Image
Best forgotten character. Evar. I don't even think he had a full body shot in any Starfox game, just that little icon in Starfox 64. Bill is an old friend of Fox's and he's a badass. Nuff said.

Haha. That's a movie for little kids, way to composed for us elderly people.
