Re: Errm..your favourite music?
I've developed a liking to this song, heard it a while back and then recently discovered it sitting in my iTunes library. Imagine that
I think the video's a bit silly and the vocals could use some more variation- there isn't a huge range of notes used in the song, and that's not necessarily bad, but I think it would have come out as much more evocative if there had been greater shifts in pitch and tone.
The lyrics are based off of a short story written by the artists, which you can read here (first post down). Relatively deep stuff.
Also, apparently a lot of people learned about this song because the chorus was used in this song (which some dub a remix) by 50 Cent, which I think is shite. The beat rapes my ears and the lyrics are alright but occasionally random and unfitting, I think.
This remix, on the other hand, is fairly well done in my opinion, though at one point the lyrics are a bit drowned out by the heavy beats.
Hm. Didn't think I'd devote such a long post to one song :v

The song's good, but the two remixes are poorly produced.
If you want some amazing remixes, look no further than Mt Eden:
Everything this guy touches turns to absolute gold.

Interesting, I just found out about Imogen Heap a few days ago with this song:
But yeah, wow, Mt Eden is some pretty top-notch stuff. I'll have to peruse that channel more thoroughly, preferably at a time when I'm not putting off an English paper

This one's of the Mirror's Edge theme song. It's unreal:
Re: Errm..your favourite music?
I found this by looking at a Mortal Kombat TV Ad, and the song is just amazing.
My back started to shiver and I practically gasped for air the first time I listened to it.

...that song's amazing! Such a dirty wobble beat.
Oh wait, just looked it up, that's Sonny Moore from From First To Last. =O
I'd heard he had a solo project, but I figured it would be absolute shit.
I think I might just be getting old, but lately I can't stop listening to swing jazz...it's so infectiously rhythmic....can't stop moving my feet when I'm listening to it...

I also heard he's doing a tour with Deadmau5, which will do a great impact on his solo-career. Props to the guy, he has earned it.

Re: Errm..your favourite music?
I was supposed to see Deadmau5 at Creamfields back in 2009, but then I had a repeat exam for college the day after we would've been getting back from England...balls. Tickets and flights had been booked too!

Oh wow, I looked up the original version of that Imogen Heap remix, and it's brilliant in its own right.
Couldn't find a plain version, this was the second-most popular search result, after the Mt Eden remix
