Ambrosia!

Post by Dr.eL » Thu May 06, 2004 6:15 pm

Wow... I just realized how dumb Ambrosia is... their forum is retarded, most of the people spam, the admins are insulting, and they discontinued work on their best game ideas (Manse, Ragnarok). SO stupid...

Their games are mostly pretty good, but yeah it seems like they haven't made anything in really long time. Snapz Pro is definitely a worthwhile contribution though.

Wiretap?

Yeah, I was REALY pissed about Rangorak
And they are reduced to making all puzzle games, not that there is anything wrong with puzzle games but a little variety please? I still think their best game(well, it wasn't realy made by them but they published it) was Avara, though I just checked in and it seems they recently killed it off.
What was Manse?

Yes; there are WAY to many puzzle games out there. Not to mention card games.

Ambrosia is far far behind. They don't even care about making games with polygons, it's like there a clone of freeware software.

I don't think 3d games are necessarily better than 2d games.

Ambrosia isn't doing a whole lot now, but their older games are still better than many new commercial games. Harry the Handsome Executive, Maelstrom, Avara, Escape Velocity etc. are classic. I just hope they make some new games eventually.

I never beat that game :?

I always wished I registered more of their games (I only got around to paying for EVO, Avara, and Snapz), but yeah, they've abandoned their best games; you wouldn't believe the bitching that went on when they refused to release the source code for Avara ....

Thank god EV Nova came out for PC finally. If I didn't have so much homework I would have beaten it by now.

Nova is an okay game. And, seeing this is the random forum, Have any of you people heard of Spiderweb Software?

Edit: Sorry for posting on an old topic, but I just couldn't help myself.
