By that logic:

VCRs

Oops, there's no "ideo", better fix that…

V'CRs

Oops, there's no "assette", better fix that…

V'C'Rs

Oops, there's no "ecorder", better fix that…

V'C'R's

LMFAO...

Silly rabbit, Trix are for kids!

The . makes up for the onerous lack of an apostrophe.

And I've been using proper Aussie grammar and spelling all the way along, mate. Bonza, eh.

Nah, that's not the same thing. "VCR's" is the only plausible spelling.

True, but no one ever puts "V.C.R.".

Look, you said it was an acronym. It is an acronym. I'm sure that's a good reason for not putting an apostrophe there. And by your logic it would mean putting an apostrophe after every letter in any acronym.

"C'mon" - Shorthand word, apostrophe is perfectly correct.

"VCR's" - Acronym with an apostrophe. It's an acronym, it doesn't need an apostrophe to tell people it's not the complete word, that's the whole point of acronyms!

All in favour of BWS Is Win say Aye!

All in favour of R_T Is Win say Nay!

All in favour of STFU say, well, STFU!

All in favour of actual official grammar proving that R_T Is Win say… Umm…

I say, tea and crumpets! Yeah, say that.
