Nor I, but I suppose it could get annoying if you got annoyed by that kind of thing.

Well, it's not distracting in that I can't read posts... it's kinda like some jerk tailgaiting you at night with his high beams on.

Alright, I've awoken from my slumberand returned to the forums. I'm guessing PCs got creamed, judging by the poll.

"Macs are faster? No. Right now I can buy a Core Duo 2 laptop PC. Apple is still stuck with a patently obsolete cheap. Plus, OS X has never looked worse due to the recent PPC -> Intel switch. There is still no native Office, Matlab, Photoshop, and many other critical programs for Mac yet, so OS X is SLOW for many users. How can you tout Macs as the artists choice when Photoshop runs like it does on a 5 year old PC? "

Jeff, I know where you're coming from. The huge problem with Universal Binary is, They're universalizing the wrong programs! I don't need a "smooth-as-silk" remix of Halo, when the old one ran fine. Someone should start a petition to make Photoshop and Flash universal. On the plus side, nearly every new download being released on macgamefiles.com is UB.

The poll, and most of this discussion does not mean much.
You're confusing hardware and software.

For example, in the poll: Mac vs Windows. Mac is short for Macintosh, not
Mac OS. And Windows is not synonym with PC.

Well, I sorta just started this forum about the operating systems, and you guys brought hardware into it.

How shocking on a forum for a website that produces primarily for Mac games. Who would have thought?

At least some people don't want to add to the horrendous amount of stuff for PC, eh?

As far as software is concerned, more is better.

I'll take quality over quantity anyday.

I've decided that the computer is only as smart as the user. :P So really, you could go either way and fail horribly at using one because you really have no idea what you're doing...even if you think you do.

There is obviously a higher amount of quality hardware for the PC since there is way more to choose from, so that comment is pretty much against you, because PC has quality and quantity.
