And went through all the others too. Not saying I beat them all, but I beat most of 'em.
I loved that maze bit of yours, Freshy. Usually I'm pretty good at mazes, but that maze was just evil.

And just 'cos I realised I could, I decided to whip me own level up.
Have at you!
Linear! ...more or less.

Oh! Was that not clear? I'm going to fix that.
Assaultman67 wrote:The maze portion was somewhat challenging for me because it was disorienting, the ball pit thing wasn't really challenging at all once I realize what the goal was (get all the lasers 'on'). it was simply a matter of doing it.
I really was running out of ideas once I got to the 4th room...
Glabbit wrote:Steelraven's In Phase is really damn hard. I spent nearly an hour nearly getting it but not quite understanding it, so not really getting any further.
I did the same thing... it set the bar for this thread pretty damn high, so high that the following maps you could just fly through without any major effort.

You don't know how much that makes me smile.

While I agree, that was the hardest, your one took me the longest because of that fucking maze. We need some super hard maps.

Happy to hear that, Fresh.
Now try mine. I'm sure you'll like it.
I'm also sure you'll not be as surprised by the surprises as other people because you've seen my minecraft tendencies =p

I just finished it. Cleverly built, nicely designed. Though, I had to frown a little when I got stuck in a hole beneath the elevators and had to restart.

Hah, yes, the elevator's open bits, easy to fall into... that's a bit that I overlooked. Perhaps I should've put some goo under them or something.

Thanks for the feedback :3

Well, here's my quickest run so far, Glun: [VIDEO]

Hmm... I believe I want to do this a thing.
I challenge you guys to create puzzle maps for me to solve (that should be solvable).

I could record my blind run and upload the result as a video and you can all laugh at how much better a level you could make yourself.
Could this be something you guys are interested in?

Yeah! So you'll be uploading the whole puzzle solving process? Not just the playthrough?

That's what I wanted to do! ...but then SteelRaven's map, which I tried first, took so long that it nearly froze my harddrive, so I stopped and had to restart to clear 12 GB of cache >>
Perhaps I'll try again with whatever map I try anew next.
Also, I'm going to have to figure out how that 'pause record' button works.

Additionally:
Challenge Accepted. Expect more maps from me within the week.

So, would there be commentary?

Exactly, that is my intention.

Excellent.

If there is enough demand... and I'd say this is demand enough.

I think I'll just keep it in this thread though, challenging people would still be on-topic.
When you release a map, just leave a hint at that it's a challenge, and I will record it.

I want to give making commentary vids a try too.
I'd suggest a partnership, but honestly I couldn't think how that would work other than that I do the ones that you can't for any reason, up to and including simply not wanting to.
'cos it could be many maps coming your way now. Maybe.

In any case I say that you should make more maps too. I really enjoyed your map - every bit of it, not just the maze. In fact the maze was just annoying in comparison to to how fun the rest was.

Hm.. I was thinking of a way to cooperate, but I could not think of any.
How about an internal challenge, instead? First to the finish or something?

By the way, I was actually thinking of making an extended project similar to what you found in Room #2 in my last level. It was very well received, apparently.

Naw, no competitiveness for me, I'm in it for funz, not any type of even implied superiority.

More of that map sounds good though. I'll be looking forward to it. And o'course I'll be able to put a commentary on that, because you can't do a commentary on your own maps now, can you? :3

And throw me an interesting map on occasion so's I get a little author variation, yes?

Atleast, we get to challenge each other with ones own levels.

... Fair enough.
