The original composition is called "Flower", which I think is pretty cool. Yet the shrunk-down version truly misses out on some of the sharp highlights merging it in a pink blur, making this only worth a 7.

Well damn. I'm extremely surprised you actually found that. Would you happen to be someone who knows Tidus? I really don't know of any other way you could have known about that.
He sent it to me quite a while back over Skype, a long time before putting it on Deviantart. He described it as a strange swirl, that looked somewhat like a flower. As far as I'm concerned, this means it's still just a strange swirly pattern. I still had it on my computer, and it was the only picture the Wolfire profile area would let me use. That's the only reason I'm using it.
