Which comes in handy when you're solving for linkages.


if you know the initial angles and lengths of the linkage, you can express the entire linkage as 0 = Ae^hw +Be^ix+Ce^jy+De^kz

Derive that and you can get the relationships between the angular velocity and angular acceleration of all linkages.

(it's too bad deriving this shit get really really hairy :P)
