Deadline has been extended to until David gets back from his trip to the mountains.

No, this has nothing to do with the above comment. Please ignore the above comment. In fact, I might just delete the above comment. No relation at all. Nope. None.

Hm, how does david being away affect the contest? I don't remember if he was one of the judges but it seems that you could just submit your maps anyway and he can ignore those submitted after the deadline....

Because there was no sense in the original deadline to begin with.
I just said "one month" because I didn't want to think up a good deadline.
Hmm... what was the point of all this again?
Bleh.

Whatever. I'm going to go dl some stuff.

It's ok Fournine I feel your pain..... remember [lugarguru] or Mocha[Serve? Or the First Monthly Mapping Contest! ? (a grand total of 0 maps were submitted)
The community was too small for any real interest at that time though.... who would like participatem in a new mapping contest? By the looks of this one it doesn 't seem like mapping contests are going to take off untill Lugaru is released.

*scratches head*
The real problem is that I can't load the friggin' maps after I make 'em. So, basically, EVERYTHING I make has to be one-shot maps, with no ability to test out the enemy difficulty or whatever. I mean, hells, I make grand landscape vertical towers the player has to jump, tower to tower, and I can't load them to play! Or adjust!
I've tried varying the level size, file size, even file names, without any success. The only map I can comfortably load is the "empty" map, which of course means little.
*sigh*
I guess I'll have to work on maps during L2, eh?
Until then, I have a language to develop for David's use.

Fournine: Scripting language?

Nayr: What language are you writing it in? If you say REALbasic I am afraid I will have to kill you.

Fournine: Scripting language?
All I do is make maps, and they crash. I don't dive into the code.
And as a side note, I'm using a PC on top of it all.

For multiple platforms, yes, but I am aiming at 10.3 only.

So Nayr, are you writing the rendering engine yourself or just wrapping Safari?
