I've never had this happen, but I think I did hear someone mention it a long while ago. Does this occur even when your steam mic settings are set to 'push-to-talk'?

Yes, I find this amusing as well. I try not to set the scaling to 0 until after I've determined my teammates are highly unlikely to be at all helpful, though.
I must try not to become what I despise! I made a little toggle bind for it so doing so won't slow me down. Of course, any game mode other than competitive is an insta-mute most of the time.
