Mount & Blade: Caribbean!

Post by Themap » Sun Sep 09, 2012 10:34 am

Hey guys!
I was looking for pirate rpgs the other day
I stumped across most of them (Sid Meier's Pirates!,Sea Dogs, Pirates of the Burning Crusade,Monkey Island , you name it) but for some reason the all didn't seem quite right, which may change if I ever play any of them at all, until I saw this post in rock paper shotgun about Taleworlds newest M&B...

http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012/08 ... interview/

Score sounds just ringed across my brain as I was reading it...

Anyone else knew about this, and if so, how do you fell about it??

I just hope they improve the combat mechanics
I mean, it's nice for medieval battles and all, but pirate duels are much more elaborate than just 4 directions.
Now that i think of it, there's a mod that adds more depth to the combat...Now to find it

Aw man, I had kind of the same idea of a game a few months ago (not as a game but as a mod) :-/ I already thought about all the features and how I can make it happen... Seems like I don't have to do that anymore :-D
btw. this looks awesome ;-)

This one's by Sich, not Taleworlds, so I'm kind of skeptical for now... I mean, I bought WFaS for less than two bucks after it had been patched a ton, so I'm happy with it, but the last time around the reception for Sich's product was bad.

Still, I'm pretty sure Taleworlds will be breathing on their necks during the whole development of the game, so I'm not too worried about that
