The Walking Dead game is really good and you should play it.

The Walking Dead is an episodic affair with point and-click-adventure sensibilities brought to you by Telltale games. Based on the comic of the same name, but has an original and self-contained story.
It's currently on sale on Steam. $12.50 gets you the complete five episode game.
If you want my opinion on it, I wrote a sort of mini-review on
another forum which I cannot be bothered repeating here.
The quick and dirty version is that, despite some obvious flaws, this is easily one of the best games of the year and recently won the highly prestigious award of 'First Ever Game to Make Zhukov Cry'.
So go buy it, you can thank me later.

Yeah, that was my reaction at first too.
I've come to regard zombie games the same way I do modern military shooters and sword & sorcery fantasy RPGs. That is to say, as an indication that the creators are dead inside, or at least in need of a long holiday.
However, when it's this good I'm willing to make an exception.

It's not just a zombies game, it's story driven. And the story is DAMN good.

The story is awesome, but i HATE point and click games!!!! except the monkey island series (the 4 first games)

Been getting frenzied reviews from friends about this. I've read all of the comics up to now, and it's serious uh-mazing.
Comic series: Amazing
TV series: Mediocre due to terrible acting and questionable plot choices
Game series: To be decided, but optimistic
Another nice little zombie game I played recently was Deadlight. It's more oh-shit gotta run away and solve moderately-difficult-puzzles rather than bang-bang-bang, so I loved it. Side-scroller too, so it's at least a fresh take on the "genre".
And then we have DayZ which is, of course, very broken and glitchy, but while playing with friends has been some of the best craic I've ever had playing any game, particularly multiplayer ones.
