Re: Archive of Notable Events
Yeah we've played a few 40k background games. One was on a planet where the Fydae Strain Virus had broken out and we were members of the Adeptus Arbites sent in to investigate, but the motives for sending us in was actually as a proving grounds for us as members of the Inquisition. Those who failed were never heard from again, those of us who succeeded were given quite powerful positions. It was only a one-off so that's where the game ended. It was great fun.
I agree that the background makes for fun reading. I just hate the concept of the different space marine sects and their stupid rationales. Also they're munchkin, particularly in the tabletop iteration of the 40k universe, which is why I chose never to play it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I post images when I'm too lazy to come up with a witty response.

Well, this thread has officially gone to shit.
Re: Archive of Notable Events
So it seems.
Anyone got any medicine of good retro threadlets to revive this ailing old geezer of a thread?

Well in my opinion, as long as this thread is even in existence, it will always be a good place to post some funnies that happen here on the wolfire boards.
so cheers to that!

I can't help resulting in nonsense.
Re: Archive of Notable Events
Appreciable. Though the fact that the brave spelunkers of these forums found Ren's old similarly-purposed thread makes me wonder whether the cycle will continue on like that over the years and we'll end up with a long tree of archive threads by different people linking to each other.underthedeep wrote:Well in my opinion, as long as this thread is even in existence, it will always be a good place to post some funnies that happen here on the wolfire boards.

'twould be handier for the archives to all be in one place, o'course.
No worries, Ren, we all should know by now that nonsense is the randomness forum's primary natural state of being.Renegade_Turner wrote:I can't help resulting in nonsense.
