Perhaps somebody in your neighbourhood is secretly a mad scientist and has designed a quantum manipulation cable which... well, uh, manipulates time and space so that signals arrive before they were even sent. Like a pro 8)

(E: ... He then sabotaged your router and installed said cable just 'cause he's mad.... forgot that part :/)
