I probably couldn't take either of you in a fight, so I'll stick with something pretty and stylish and too fancy to be used in an actual battlefield. I make game art, after all, not war.

I suspect you could do far more damage to me than you give yourself credit for.

That shiny thing though... gawrsh. That is incredibly decorative. Things would have to get very dire indeed for me to take such a thing off the wall with the intent of using it. And not because I don't think it'd do damage, oh no, I'm sure it would make the rain run red.
More because I'd be terrified of scratching the design.

As much as I realize they're ridiculous and overblown, I love fancy weapons with moving parts.

I wish I could find a good pic, but I loved those cool as melee attachments you could put on weapons in Dead Space 3. I just wish they did more damage, or cost less ammo, because that was what made them totally not worth it. Or maybe that they had an ambient energy cost that recharged over time, so at least it wasn't using up your weapons' ammo.

Dat mercury rifle… completely useless for stealth situations, of course, but by golly do I love that thing anyway.
Also most of the other Oni non-conventional weapon gems depicted here.

In a weak attempt to bring us back to kendo and the honourable art of stabbing and/or decapitating, here a picture that is "proof" that I did in fact, once upon a time, fence.

I'd say guess which one is me but I'd probably just sit here cringing watching you try.

I have seen a few videos about HEMA guys talking about modern fencing the other day.
I'm not going to post them here, since they are not very nice AT least not if you like to call modern fencing fencing.

No, it's Indian (as in the subcontinent, not the Native Americans...), and I believe the split-in-two design comes from the legendary sword of Ali, who was cousin and son-in-law of Muhammad.
