Forge and blacksmith REDEAUX

Post by Zorletos » Tue Nov 12, 2013 9:32 pm

If any of you saw my blacksmith post while ago and learned i settled on the diamondback, i have a picture of the latest work from me, Duiltag the meat cleaver. It has a brother Duiltog, a double bladed axe that is not yet complete.

That's cool! The resolution is too small to see any details, though. I'm a 3D artist, and I've been trying to find photographs of hand-forged objects that haven't been polished up into super-shiny finished product.

It's easy to find high-resolution pictures of this sort of metal, but surprisingly hard to find the darker surface from before it has been polished:

Do you know of any blacksmithing blogs, or tumblr channels, or anything like that where I could find lots of high-resolution images of blacksmithing stuff? I'd also be interested in seeing your stuff too, of course, if you have photos in higher resolution so I can see the details!

That's freaking sweet.
Been wanting to get into black smithing for a few years now.
