Is it weird that I find it disgusting, confusing & insulting that anyone might follow a link in a spam post? It's like imagining someone touching rotten stuff. A weirdly biological reaction.

It is possible to add nocrawl to user profiles? Never mind. user profiles require login. which is a good thing, and does the same job.

I thought so too, but I have a few Chinese friends who use social media mostly for language practice and they sound the same way.
As long as they just write non-offensive stuff and are no major nuisance, I'd say they are good. If they continue to post this way, maybe we could even point out that what they write is polite and all, but a tiny bit weird.

I have seen a post today waiting for approval that was nothing but a smiley face. That one I didn't let through. People should at least show some attempt to make conversation in their first post. In retrospect. I probably should have written an explanation going along with that disapproval.
