I thought you would have gotten the joke. Apparently it went over your head, despite its simplicity. God you take things literally. Maybe if you didn't you could have gotten the joke.

It sounded like he was talking about the guy as if he were dead, because he said "let's hope he's gone to a better place". Usually when someone mentions someone going to a "better place", they're talking about someone who has passed on, saying they hope that person has found rest.

Alright, let me put it this way… WHY THE HELL DID YOU EXPLAIN THE INNER WORKING OF SOMETHING EVERY HUMAN BEING OVER THE AGE OF SIX KNOWS THE MEANING OF?! :shock:

I do know what I'm talking about, actually. I'm talking about the great question that is why he explained what "Gone to a better place" usually means. That's like explaining the birds and the bees to a seventy year old! (Although a seventy year old might've forgotten…)

dear god, i was joking with the " i hope hes gone to a better place" thayts just what i say when somebody goes out or is on holiday its the fact it means hes dead is what makes it funny.... i probably should have said that earlier
