Re: randomness
It's like graphical forum poetry.Glabbit wrote:This is the randomness
thread in the randomness topic. Yet its contents are only marginally more
random than any where else.
Solution?
No.
Yet.
Possibly…
Perhaps somehow I could try
and do interesting things with the shape of the posts posted in here.
Would it make a difference?
I approve.

The empty space looks like a penis.

Meanwhile, somewhere else in Japan...
(Don't compare. Just admit they both look fun)

Re: randomness
Journey?
Would you mind giving us a few examples of which 'Journey' game you mean, exactly?
...if this is the one I'm thinking of, you may have just uncovered a whole new level of unfulfilled, unclosured nostalgia in my barren soul

Saw this and was instantly reminded of Lugaru/Overgrowth.
No, no, not that Journey.Glabbit wrote:Journey?

This Journey
I'm tellin' ya, Jesus made this game. Possibly in collaboration with Buddha.

Re: randomness
Have any of you ever read The Book of Flying, by Keith Miller? That trailer reminds me of it for some reason.
If you haven't, read it.
If you haven't, read it.

So it seems. I gave the internet a little check and found that the soul-writhingly nostalgic image that the game title Journey made stir in me was in fact not from a game simply named Journey. I wonder if I'll ever find it.Zhukov wrote:No, no, not that Journey.

This is a game I simply must have.
This is a Journey I simply must embark on.
Tally-ho!
*launches self into the desert*
I will now gush.
The game is simple, elegant, sounds fantastic and looks utterly fucking gorgeous.
It incorporates multiplayer while keeping the atmosphere and ambiance completely intact.
This is a game where I could call my companion - some completely anonymous person on the internet - over to admire the view and they did. In a game. On the bloody internet. And it happened without text or speech.
I ended up going through the whole game side-by-side with that one person.
Oh, and the ending. Wow. A not insignificant part of me wishes to slap myself across the face until I am cured of the desire to type phrases like "emotional experience", but, well... it kinda was.
Also, there was a singing whale made of living fabric. I thought that was neat.
