Yeah, it has the perfect balance of characters being ridiculously whimsical but at the same time having serious convictions, like Gintama holding his pride/honour above all other things when it actually means it. But at the same time, as you said, it never takes itself seriously enough to bog down the aspect of humour in the show.

I also love how the Amanto are clearly just a transparent representation of the Americans primarily, as well as the English and French (or in other words the "west" that forcibly opened Japan at the end of Japan's Edo period). Pretty much everything in Gintama, including the banning of swords for commoners as well as the depictions of the rebellions were parts of actual Japanese history during and after that period. I don't think there was ever a Robin Hood-style underpants thief, though.

Which series did you watch? Because that's interesting to me, seeing as how I watched about 6 episodes of the 2006 series, then got anal and quit.

Also, Boxxy is still hot, but now in more of a wifey kind-of way.

If you look closely there's some fudgery with pieces reappearing where they shouldn't and so on but all in all, I had a good chuckle at this.

New Atelier game coming soon. Titled Atelier Escha & Logy...No, I don't get the lucky fox tail either.
Its kinda cool listening to the progression of music as the Atelier series went along (assuming you just count the PS3 titles release in the US):

Atelier Rorona

Atelier Totori - Weakest of the bunch opening wise

Atelier Meruru

Atelier Ayesha

I think I've blabbed about the music and games before, but I'm doing it again.

I think I may have developed a vagina because I just watched a shoujo anime called Tonari No Kaibutsu Kun and loved it. I regret nothing.

I've found myself feeling that I'd just developed a vagina on two or three occasions before. No shame. It's broadening your horizons! etc

Fez is so indie it has an 8 bit colorful pallette with nice scenery and graphics and is a puzzle game with a upbeat, happy soundtrack and colorful visuals and with a small control scheme indie indie indie indie.
