More specifically, I'm playing Ys I + II.
I'm not sure I like the look of the 3D-esque Ysses very much. I suppose I'll have to take a tentative gander at those in a further future, after my wallet has healed from the summer sale.

The newer Ys games got rid of the bump combat system. Partially because its archaic and can be a bit obtuse.

I can imagine the bump system being a bit harder to work in the 3D environment.. though I don't understand why so many people dislike it. I rather quite love it.

Oh well, back to Ys II for now.

MOS school. Some of these Sergeants are complete assholes. Not unexpected, but they take it too far. It's an unnecessary amount of blasting and knife-handing for us.
