Ugh. I'm a sucker for medieval fantasy theme stuff but I also have a strict non-moe policy.
WHAT DO I DO GRAYSWANDIR?!? Should I watch it?

Atelier Rorona, Totori, Meruru and Ayesha are PS3 games. Rorona to Meruru are part of a trilogy and Ayesha is the newest one and is coming stateside. The Atelier series are RPGs that have a whole alchemy/item-creation system built into them along with a decent combat system. They're all about time management and making the best use of your synthesized items. Interestingly enough there's no big-bad evil to defeat in any of the PS3 ones. They're all focused on the goals of the titular character and are generally upbeat and light-hearted games. They also beat you over the head with the "Cute" hammer. If you can handle some innuendo, lesbian overtones, the occasional face-desk writing, and diabetes inducing sweetness, they're decent games (with awesome music).
Yes, the first thing I think of when I see anime girls collecting flowers and cooking stuff in pots is power metal...

Here's a neat little thing delivered by YouTube comments.
First, open this video and pause it- I've already moved it to the optimal time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... d=1#t=114s
Let that load a bit if necessary. Next, open up this video and also pause it, and then cut the volume on this video in half: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wF8H1Wh-Brc&hd=1
Again, let it load a little if necessary.
Now play them both simultaneously, watching the second video.

Awesome. Almost made me want Battlefield 3.
I'm unimpressed with that game, but the combo with the Deus Ex soundtrack was pretty sweet. haven't played the new Deus Ex. I've heard it's freakin' awesome. Is this true?

Re: randomness
I wouldn't know as I haven't played it- my PC is graphically far too weak for modern games- but I've actually been playing the original Deus Ex recently. Quite fun. It shows its age pretty badly in some moments and is in no way perfect, yet it's still a great new experience over a decade since its release.
Re: randomness
Sweet. I'm planning on a new machine, with much better hardware, after I've saved up a bit of money after bootcamp. Maybe I'd be able to get them after that.

Waving the plastic around just excites them. You're lucky you survived with all your limbs attached.
