Armored Core 4 and For Answer were the last two I remember being really good. Armored Core V wasn't that bad but the online structure was limiting and it forced you to play online with this world battle system if you wanted to get anything out of the game. Verdict Day wasn't as limiting but just felt like an expansion and an update.
