We need to find a topic that generates new discussion at a constant speed. A low burn instead of a single burst of activity. A webcomic / cartoon / tv series / online fiction with weekly schedule. Or a game update. Or game related news.

Someone was going for weekly discussions on game dev questions once. Phoenix was posting those game updates. Something like that?

Any ideas?

So my favorite soundtrack from games this year is from Atelier Shallie:




The game itself is nice and relaxing and great for after work play when you just want to sit down and not have to think too hard about time limits or saving the world.

Kantai Collection (Kancolle) is reaching its last episode for the season. The comparisons between the "ship girls" and their real world counterparts and the events that they take part in are interesting to see. For example right now they're in the Battle of Midway. If you know you're World War II history, you'll notice all the parallels between the show and what actually happened.


The show uses a mix of 2D and 3D animation to...mixed effect. Its really noticeable when they switch between the two.

This years anime has been kinda...meh. Kancolle and Aldnoah.Zero are really the only two series I'm still watching anymore. Aldnoha.Zero season 2 still is a let down because of the way the first season ended and the second season picked it back up. The music and twists keep the show going though.

This year? I haven't had the time to try the stuff I got last year!

So far, Offworld Trading Company the RTS you win buy buying your opponent's corporation's stock, is the most interesting.

Yeah, tools are getting more powerful these days. There's a lot of amazing things out there that you wouldn't guess were made by a single person each.

I've got a little bit of creativity in me, but I haven't really reached any level of 'wow' in any skill. I hope I can rightly affix 'yet' to that sentence.
