My topic-split sense is tingling again.

If his _direct statement of that observation_ didn't imply that he saw truth to it, I'm not entirely sure how else one is to imply that. Should none of us be assumed to believe anything we say? As if languages weren't useless enough as it is...

So...now you're saying that any sarcastic or ironic statements people make can be interpreted as them actually believing what they're saying despite them only saying it as a joke...I can't say "But women are the only ones who can multi-task!" and actually imply through sarcasm/irony that I believe that to be completely false?

Do you actually understand the basic premise of sarcasm/irony?
