Seto no Hanayome
A junior high student nearly drowns and is saved by a mermaid. However, this mermaid is part of a yakuza clan and will be killed because she was seen by a human. He must either marry her or let her die. It's quite funny.
It's being subbed by a few groups so it's not hard to find.

Murder Princess is an interesting series...its based off a manga of the same name (which I've never read...) and the first two episodes have been decent so far.
The animation quality is quite good and the character designs are interesting. The concept isn't anything extremely eye-opening or new, but its at the very least, fun to watch.
Basically, a bounty hunter and her cohorts are...uhm...hunting bounties when a fleeing princess runs into them, knocking our main heroine as well as the princess off a cliff. They end up switching bodies as they fall and then it goes from there...The story progress rather violently with lots of blood spilling and really weird...chibi-robots...
Check it out if it sounds like your thing...there are a couple groups subbing it.
Hayate no Gokotu!
A really poor kid who is sold to the yakuza by his parents is taken in by a rich family as a butler...their combat butler. Rather strange, but it makes fun of video games, popular culture, and other anime.
This is currently being subbed by a few groups as well.
Lucky Star
Originally a serialzed 4-panel comic strip. This anime is about 4 high school girls and their..life...its really..uhm...cute...and slightly disturbing. It really lacks any major substance, so if you're looking for an enlightening or plot driven anime, run away from this one.
