screaming is suppost to sound evil or chaotic, and screaming fits with heavy metal music,

as i was saying:
BunnyWithStick

1: Yelling, screaming, and roaring into the microphone is not inherently poetic.

2: The complete lack of a melody is rather abrasive on the ear...

ok BwS i wanna show you something,
look at this, and tell me its not poetic
http://www.darklyrics.com/lyrics/alltha ... rt.html#10
now listen to it i know u wont like it just get the idea
http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?doc ... &plindex=0

now, who here thinks this screaming doesnt go with this music

My only problem with those lyrics are that they are exactly the same as
∞ other songs, and for me that is a big problem.
I agree that it fits, though.

Yes, it is poetic, but it's not poetic. I think we're getting confused with the word's multiple meanings.

The screaming goes with the music, but unfortunately, both the screaming and to a lesser extent the music don't really go with most people's ears very well.

Well, BWS, if you want some metal that's not quite so abrasive, might I recommend Disturbed - Down With the Sickness? It's a little older and a little softer on the ears than - for example - Lamb of God. Disturbed generally don't do the screaming thing.

"Uuwaa aaa aaa aaaa!!" Hehe...

Also, if you're trying to find 'wicked guitar' in most songs, it pays to endure for a while until the guitar solo.

Personally, I like Metallica, though not their new songs. Master of Puppets, Enter the Sandman, the better ones.

I really love Teenagers, by My Chemical Romance.

You misunderstand. I don't want *any* metal.

I gathered about as much... I was trying to prove that not all metal is quite as bad as you seem to think it is.

so in otherwords, your taste in music sucks because you can not only not endure today's metal, you can't endure 80's metal either...

I already know you obsess over techno so, can you endure:

reggae?
country?
rap?
punk?
pop?
pop-punk?
ballads?
soft rock?
alternative?
alt-rock?
general rock? (sorry, couldn't think of another name)
jam bands?
emo?
rap-rock?
international? (god, I can't really explain this one)
indian? (like native american music)

I listen to every one of those listed (yes, they are all different...in my eyes, at least...) and metal...I have a very good taste in music and give everything a fair chance...EVERYTHING!!! though I don't tend to like rap, I do give it fair ratings in comparison to other rap that I don't like

Reggae=awesome, but mostly the old stuff. there are good reggae bands around, but there are a lot more bad ones. Oh, and if you mean by international everything except the kind of crap that's popular, i.e. "indigenous" or traditional music, than that's damn good too. Especially stuff from north Africa, the middle east, and India. Oh, and Mali has the best goddamn music ever.

I can endure 96.5% or so of all those genres. Metal deserves a fair chance, yes. But all the screaming pretty much blows that chance in my eyes. I'm allowed to have an opinion that metal sucks, right? Oh, and yeah, reggae (From what little I know of it) is pretty great. Rap definitely blew it's chance though.

I used to be like you, but listen to some East Coast rap and you will change your mind. It's far more intelligent than the annoying gangsta rap that's always on the radio. Kind of jazzy, usually thought-provoking lyrics. I would recommend starting off with Nujabes, O.U.O., or Cool Calm Pete.

What is the point of categorizing it?

Also, that sucks (IMO ....).
