The Melbourne Shuffle

Post by Renegade_Turner » Sat Jun 23, 2007 3:30 pm

This a form of dance which has become a kind of phenomenon over in Australia and other parts of the world, mainly in (you guessed it) Melbourne city.

I've been looking at loads of the videos on Youtube, and I just think it looks really cool.

Two really cool videos :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8k5WtNRlBcE - Look at the first guy who starts it off after it says "Melbourne Shuffle" on the screen. He's wearing the purple-ish hoodie thing and he's probably the coolest shuffler I've seen yet in terms of natural ability.

That reminds me most of old beat-em-up games where when you move 'up' your character looks like he is walking forward.

HAHA! YEAH! Like Streets Of Rage. Man, all this time and we never really knew that the beat-em-up game producers were just avid Melbourne shufflers!

That's awesome. Pity comments have been disabled for one of those :?

Really though, David's got a point, it does look like a beat 'em up game :D

Whatever it is, it looks pretty damn cool. I'm thinking of giving it a try.
