Using coloured text ought to be a ban-able offence.
Dawn of War is a much better game than the modern 40K wargame; they've killed off all the complexity and character, its just sad to be quite honest.
Narratively speaking Warhammer is one of the strongest properties the UK games market owns. I'm glad to see them taking computer gaming seriously.

Who says you have to play by the New Edition rules?GaGrin wrote:Dawn of War is a much better game than the modern 40K wargame; they've killed off all the complexity and character, its just sad to be quite honest.
I often play under 4th Edition.
Other than that. 40k IMO has got quite allot of character.
I love the Chaos Marine models and stuff.
And anyway. you can customize your model to look how ever you want.
In a computer game like an RTS you don't get the satisfaction of customization of a force. You just click a button on a building that poops out people.

Exception: Warzone 2100, and probably all sequels. You design units yourself with parts researched. However, I much prefer not to do this, which makes it the most infuriating RTS ever.
Not to mention all you can choose is one weapon or non-weapon equipment, one hull/whatever, and one propulsion method…
