Unfortunately...there is something to not like about Cave Story...the stupid patcher won't work in anything but 10.4 and above...

I don't know of any one-man FPS games. The only ones I know of are commercial or open-source.

Forgot about that… It doesn't really seem like an FPS to me though, considering it's got no multiplayer and doesn't feel at all like an FPS (In a really great way).

I would call it a First person Experience.
To me, when I played the game and read the Story, the game play felt like I was playing as a medium of some kind, having a vision.

Some of you may not get the same feeling, but that is what I got.
