I talk about games in the technical sense, if a game isn't worthy to be called an FPS but it's still a first person shooter, I have to call it a FPS.

Black shades is a FPS.

What the heck are you people talking about?
How can there be a difference between an acronym and it's meaning?
Black Shades is definitly a first person shooter (FPS), with third person
as an extra I should add.

They're saying they don't consider it a "shooter", despite the fact that the main character has guns with which he shoots people repeatedly.

How shall I put this U479?
You FAILED at being brainy (in your words)
you lack the capasaty to understand that Crill3 had said
What the heck are you people talking about?
in a sinical way, expressing that BS is an FPS.

Your comment was unneeded...

Dammit U, how do you do it? How is it you can press mass populations buttons with only a few sentences?

Capacity^ Cynical^

Black Shades is a game where you view through the First Person perspective and you shoot weapons at your enemies.

Therefore, it is a First Person (perspective) Shooter (your only goal is shooting people, and occasionally stabbing them).

It is an FPS/First Person Shooter (note that they're both the same thing).

The reason Crill3 questioned what you were talking about was because you were making something more complicated than it had to be, when it had such a simple reality.

In other more relevant news, Doukutsu Monogatari is a fantastic game.
Fast-paced side-scrolling action can be oh so addictive.

Exactly. The dictionary-defined words are right there, in the acronym,
telling us what games fall into the category.

How far are you? Things get really fun after the Sand Zone.

When I stopped playing earlier I had just gotten into the Sand Zone!

I absolute love the Level 3 version of the Bubblegun, because it's pretty much unstoppable, or at least it is at the stage of the game I'm at.

It's not unstoppable later on, but it's a very good gun nonetheless. When you get good at dodging, the Nemesis is arguably the best gun, along with the Polar Star.

I don't have this Nemesis yet, and I traded the Polar Star for the machinegun. Should I not have done?

After I got the MachineGun, I defeated the next boss Omega in about less than a minute and I don't think I even got hit more than two or three times. The gun seems pretty good to me.

I'm kinda stuck. Can't find this Jenka person.

I found a dark house with a dog in the top-right part of it and also a save spot, but I don't think there was anything I could do there yet.

I also continued on to the extreme right of the level, but all that's there is this locked double-door with a dog sleeping up on this ledge.

I have a dog on my back. I assume I'm meant to take it to Jenka or something am I? I'm confused.

Trading the Polar Star for the machinegun gives you a good weapon for the beginning-to-middle game, but later on you'll really wish you'd kept the Polar Star, which upgrades into an uber version of itself. No worries; almost everyone trades the Polar Star the first time through.

Yes, take the dogs to Jenka. You need to take about 4 there I think, maybe 5. (Haven't played in a while.) If I remember the layout of the Sand Zone correctly, there's a part with some alligators in the sand where you can go down by shooting out the ground below you, and Jenka's house is somewhere to the left when you go down a bit.

I found the nemesis gun annoying, despite knowing what its purpose is.
I hate my Compulsive disorder in games where I "HAVE TO" get all the little goodies, even if they are too stupidly placed to get or if they will upgrade something I did not want to upgrade!

Ahh, then I'll have a look around for something like that. As it was I got highly pissed off by not knowing where to go so I kinda stopped playing.

Also, another game I just thought of was Metal Gear 2 for the MSX. It's especially strange for me since I played MGS first, so it was weird going even further back into Solid Snake's past and playing a game that was out long before I knew him.

And yes, I did just say I knew a computer game character.

In the Sand zone, you also need to kill that boss in order to open the path to the witches house.

Also, for the Stratagy gamer who likes fantasy thymes, Dominions 2 and 3 are a must play.

I said already defeated Omega. In under a minute. The machinegun made it awfully easy.

How do I get into the witch's house? Is that the one with the double-doors?
