Curiousity about Black Shades

I love Black Shades. I love the engine, the physics, and concept. I was messing about when I thought: I'd love to make a new concept with this style I understand I am asking too much and am risking a lot asking this, but what engine did you use for Black Shades. Because I'd love to make a game of my own out of it. I'm just curious as to if I could.

Yes, it was and is, but my main curiosity is to take the fundamentals of the game and build on them to make sort-of a new game. Or, at the very least, a testing ground for a project I had in mind.

I think black shades purpose is by reducing the sun's uv rays that will hit on our eyes.

Hehe yeah. I'm just wondering if I can alter Black Shades, though, as a project I've been thinking of for a few months. That and to learn how to code......
