Try checking firewall settings, port forwarding, things like that. Quake 3 engine master servers work absolutely fine for me, except when I try to set up a server of my own. Then again, I can't set up a server of my own on any online FPS… Stupid master servers…

What do you mean? Pay who? To get a good server you'll need to pay *someone* to host it.

Dude, I've been trying my whole life. With and without router, and three
different computers, in the two different places I have lived in.
I have tried everything.

Have you tried throwing the computer out of the side of a window into crowed traffic?

I found I could play DN3D HDR after i did that with my old crappy IBM thing
