Learn how to code, period, you can't make games with out knowing how to code, and I know there are all these cutsie little "engines" that let you make "games" with out coding, but if you want to make anything marketable and decent, it needs to be written in a language that both you and your computer can understand. I made my own 2D game engine for school project, and even I implemented some scripting because you can't do anything with out it.

Someone needs to code to finish a game, yes. However, some of those cutesie 'engines' that let you do stuff without coding now include the new Unreal engine, with its Blueprints.

I agree that coding is still important.
