Hey everyone, I`m starting a new series of reviews on youtube called Gore reviews. I`m analyzing the blood and gore effects of games that are considered to be gory.

I figured you guys might be interested.

My first victim is Chivalry: Medieval Warfare.

I`m new to making reviews so any feedback will be appreciated.

Edit 15/11/17:
And, the most relevant review for this forum is up!

i am very interested and i have some tips for you as well.

1.a better intro: self explanatory and if you can't make one of your own i would like to make one for you and you can send me music you want to have in it and you can say what you want in it.

2.a channel dedicated to it: self explanatory.

3.links about music in the outro or just have them in the description: and if you find a partner and you wish to monetize you videos you don't have to worry about the content you are displaying (yes videogames are copyrighted) and music you use.

those are tips, don't take them as goals you need to fullfill before people will watch your videos or before your videos will become profesional.

Left4Dead devs wrote some articles about gore you might want to look up. The only thing I remember is that they had to look at reference images that were bad enough to cause them psychological problems... I think they might have toned it down a bit afterwards, so when the game was released it wasn't as gory as it might have been.

Thanks for the comment dude, appreciate the feedback.
1.I started the Random Madness channel as an experiment to see if there will be much interest in some of the ideas I want to put out, and I didn't put a lot of effort into making an intro. I`m happy to see people liked the ideas (both the gore reviews and the DAYZ sillyness) so I will be putting out much more content. This got me thinking now more about the visual presentation. I was thinking about using the intro I have now as a skeleton, only make the titles look better and have less generic font for all of the other text. I pretty much have it in mind, and I hope I can do it right :D

2.I`m definitely not going to do a separate channel for gore reviews, I already have a separate channel for my music and I want to keep basically everything not music related on my Random Madness channel. Most of it will be gaming.

3.The music on this and every other video are demos from my solo project, so I don't have to worry about that part :D I`m checking each game to see if I can monetize videos of that game. After your comment I noticed I put the links for the music at the bottom of the description, moved them higher up, so thanks!

I think I read something like that long time ago, but all I could find now is a presentation about L4D2`s character wound system. Pretty interesting presentation: http://www.valvesoftware.com/publicatio ... wounds.pdf

I still remember playing this with my brother years ago. We thought it was one of the coolest things ever! And now these day, to hear you were part of it is kinda mind blowing. :D

I`m going to have to wait until the price drops... Or the channel gets big enough so I can buy games for review on launch.

You were right, this is awesome. Any chance to see something like this in Overgrowth? :P

Second gore review is up - this one is for Max Payne 3. Next one I`ll be doing will most likely be for Red Orchestra 2

Very enjoyable to watch. I didn't really notice how much gore makes a difference until I watched your videos.

The subtitles being apart of the video are appreciated, but I think the scoring system being out of 100 is unnecessary as you could just use decimals. But besides that really tiny nitpick I think nothing is wrong with the videos.

I'd suggest Overgrowth but you probably already knew that.

100 allows for greater precision though.

What's the difference between 7.8/10 and 78/100

Because then you can go 78.4/10, if you want to be precise.
