I like using humanoid animals in games because they are close enough to real people to identify with them, but distant enough that there are less ethical issues with killing them (and stabbing their dead bodies repeatedly).
I think some people are interested in furries in a deeper way because it is an escape from the self-hatred resulting from the contradictions of our culture: anorexic idols and fast food, freedom of choice and homophobia, fitting in and standing out. They look at dogs and cats and see that everyone thinks they are cute, regardless of color, size, or shape. They decide that they would rather live in that kind of world.

i just feel that this is a good time to say that:
last year, one of the kids who never talks and is outcasted and blah blah blah was drawing, in health class, one of the jocks grabbed his paper saying "WTF IS THIS???" and everyone ran over there to see what was going on. i was lucky and got infront. but what i saw. horrified me.
here was this innocent kid who everyone thought was always happy and perfect to his parents.
and he was drawing.
a fox.
and it was topless.
he included the nipples and everything.
was in a sexy pose too.
