thing i have been wondering about for a while now, Which non-game related bands has done atlast 1 game related songs or has any references to games in their song(s)?
few i can think of so far are
Eiffel 65 - my console
Imagine Dragons - Warriors (kinda on the fence with this one)
The left rights - genesis 16:12
Jean Grae - Kill Screen
bands like Machinae Supremacy doesn't count because whole band is videogame themed, also songs which uses video game related musicvideos, but the song itself isn't about games.
question: songs about videogames
Re: question: songs about videogames
Why should musicians make Songs about Games? I don't see any value for this.

Re: question: songs about videogames
okay i have one
"Tokat, Kopf ab - Mortal Kombat
Vollkontakt a la Ong-Bak, Komm ran
Opfer, du bist Honda, ich Sagat
Nicht link von hinten, ich hau dich frontal, sakat
Dein Yokuzuna-Sumo ficke ich mit 'nem Pushkick"
Tokat, head chopping - Mortal Kombat
up close and personal as Ong-Bak, come close
"Opfer" you are Honda, i'm Sagat *(someone who is the bitch of one other, opfer = victim)
no back-stabbing, i attack you face to face, "sakat" (Turkish for a "gimp")
i fuck your Yokuzuna-Sumo with a Pushkick
btw, this is only a reference for modern popkulture. Of curse German Streets aren't that dangerous, but people like the idea being the "Boss" in the world, like in their favorite computergames and movies!

Anyway, as for video game related songs, there was this song, which was written as a unofficial theme song for Halo 2:
