Seriously though, lately I've been watching alot of Anime and it's mostly pretty good. As a child DBZ was the only Anime I saw, so.. You can imagine why I don't watch anime very often.

Anyone know/like Berserk? That's about all the experience I have with Anime.

Berserk was/is a good anime. Its too bad they never actually finished the series like they were planning. Their funding got cut or something like that so they never had more than one season.
BTW, get the DVDs, the outtakes are hilarious.

I did watch the dvd's, never the outtakes though. If you never read the graphic novels you might want to consider it. I thought they were pretty badass. I don't read them anymore though...there started to be some disturbing shit in there.

Probably the single most bizarre and enjoyable expereince I've ever had in non-interactive media.

Edit: What I saw of berzerk I really enjoyed - unfortuantly I was watching it via an university anime-club and most of the people watching kept cracking very loud and childish jokes about everything on screen. It got so bad that they stopped showing it. Its just as well I'm fairly stable or they'd have never found the bodies
One day perhaps I'll get a chance to watch it properly.

Still makes me ball up with sympathy, even towards the end when she's just being nasty.
Yuka's little box of cut-out animals... oh my god how sweet is she? That made me want to grab her and say "its all okay - he's just a bloke so he's blind as fuck." but then I suppose I found myself easily drawn to the characters so I became quite invested in the show.
They are all awesome
Except that weird head of the the program and his odd son
they're just barking.
