That's probably some new kind of expression.

I think anyone who uses the pseudo-word "noob" is pretty much a "noob".
My fourth post ever:
Renegade_Turner wrote:Evil Penguin wrote:Whoops! My fault, and while we are at it, grammar is the way you put sentences together, spelling is... Um... Spelling stuff.
This is untrue. Grammar is : "The study of how words and their component parts combine to form sentences."
That includes the spelling, since letters are component parts of words. It appears you were wrong.
P.S. I AM aware that what Evil Penguin posted was posted quite a long time ago. I haven't been on in a while.
It can be found here:

I haven't changed. I'm still a narcissistic grammar Nazi and I make no apologies for that.
By the way, Doom fails at life.

Oh, ren, why must ye hate me so?
By the way, a newb is someone new to something, and might ask a lot of annoying questions or stuff, but will end up quite nice over time.
A noob, however, is someone, new or not, who is generally an asshole, asks a lot of annoying and downright stupid questions, and has no intention of becoming a nice person over time. Plus or minus some of these features depending on who the noob is.

You just made up that distinction there on the spot. Those aren't universally accepted definitions, not even in the slightest. Stop trying to make up rules and pass them off as the truth.

Well, he's trying to ratify, but it's true that he should have specified that it was a home-made definition.
However, he may have found it on some website.

My definition is pretty similar.
Newbie- New person.
Noob- Dumbass.

It's widely accepted that newb is not an insulting term, while noob is. Also, it's
widely accepted by a crudload of people on urban dictionary, too.
Urban Dictionary's definition of Newb
Urban Dictionary's definition of Noob
