Alter Egos: aspects of us, and who we are

Post by Chainsaw man » Fri Aug 22, 2008 11:57 am

We all have an Alter ego somewhere. We ocasonaly try to add it into literature, or we role play it in games, or do something with it.
This Thread Is dedicated to our Crazy, comical, and perfect/inperfect/unperfect Alter Egos.

Well, Ill start with my Alter Ego.
I plan to use my alter Ego for a web comic when I settle down from moving.
My alter ego:

A unconventonal Interdementonal warrior, he wanders around lawless lands like russa, and war torn battle zones where the courupton of religon grips the land. He fights for freedom, the freedom of thought. He is Faceless, and unfeeling, but an obvius force of good. However, Damned.
He has no ability to run away from danger, a means to compensate for his Imortality.

Now... who are you?

My alter ego watches daytime TV and eats himself into obesity. He enjoys shows like Family Guy and Robot Chicken, because he thinks he's zany and "random". When I hear kids saying "random" every two sentences I feel like ramming sharp icicles into their eye sockets. Also, his favourite film is Donnie Darko because he's pretentious and angsty and JAKE GYLLENHAAL IS SO KYYUUUUUTE ZOMG. God I like that film but I hate the people who love it so much because 90% of them are that "OH MY GOD YOU DON'T LIKE DONNIE DARKO? IT'S BECAUSE YOU DON'T GET IT. IT'S DEEP AND PHILOSOPHICAL, HOWEVER I CAN'T COME UP WITH PLAUSIBLE AND/OR REASONABLE EXPLANATIONS FOR THIS POINT OF VIEW. WHY ARE YOU WEARING THAT STUPID MAN SUIT? OMG PHILOSOPHY TIME TRAVEL OVERLOAD" type of person. He also owns two pandas.

Long story, no answer.
You're only going to get my story once I have enough reasons to tell you.

My alter ego?

Well this is pretty much how I act in real life (randomistical with an ego the size of my headphones. And those headphones are freaking huge. Seriously. If I wear them too long my ears are crushed into my head, anyway-)

I guess my other 'ego is the one you saw in with the doom thing, though not quite as angry. That one is also egotistical, but somehow freaking awesome at the same time. Awesome in the sense that if there's an arguement, this guy can either- A; win it when he's right, no matter how ignorant the opposition. B; Quit it if he's wrong in a way that he isn't taunted for quitting.

Lately I switch round between the two/am a combination of the two.

What you see is what you get. I'm pretty much the same in person as I am online (I pride myself on that). I'm probably a bit more polite in person (and probably less wordy...), but that's really the only difference.

Please, put Dictionary on your dashboard. It's a lot easier.
Dictionary wrote:al•ter e•go
noun
a person's secondary or alternative personality.
• an intimate and trusted friend.

ORIGIN mid 16th cent.: Latin, 'other self.'

I would agree.

your alter ego is a tap-able entity that coexists with your ego within your body.

i don't know if thats what he meant, but thats my belief.
