Pronunciation refers to: * the way a word or a language is usually spoken * the manner in which someone utters a word.

Killington sounds like someone who's mean. :(

It seemed to me as if Jimmy was implying that that was how you pronounce Wolfire, rather than actually spelling it as such, therefore, Glabbit was correcting his implied pronunciation.

That's what it seemed like to me.

Of course, this is coming from the same guy who started an argument about the usage of "it's" and "its" and halfway through it, assumed he was arguing the opposite point because using "it's" in such a way seemed so absurd that it was obviously not the point he was arguing and began digging up parts of the dictionary to prove his own point wrong.

In case you hadn't read that correctly, I subconsciously rewrote my version of the rules of grammar, started an argument, then rewrote them to be correct again and started arguing against myself.

Right. So he was not conveying the way he pronounced it or anything like that. Therefore, it was meant to be "Spelt" instead of "Pronounced".

If it was spelt that way in order to convey that the way he "pronounced" it via the medium of text on an online forum was with a pause between "wolf" and "fire" instead of a single "wolfire" then, in my opinion, it is perfectly acceptable to use the word "pronunciation" to correct said pronunciation. It's just like in a book where a character's accent might be portrayed with variant spelling of words, really.

lol there's also a David Rosen who was the founder of SEGA. That's pretty cool. This seemed as appropriate a place as anywhere else to post this.
