Omegi is a light sleeper after spending many nights alone in the monastery, and awakes, having heard voices outside. He cautiously steps outside and sees a wolf in chainmail and a large red coat. His two comrades start to walk away from the bar. Omegi quietly retrieves his staff, and strides towards the wolf, before stopping a few feet away.

the next morning wyit woke up and put his armor on. as wyit walked down the stairs he noticed that the bartender was looking at some Ream currency. he had got rid of what little Ream coins he had a while ago. "where did you get those?" Wyit inquired "a coyote came in here with a small bag of it last night a hour or two after you went to your roo-" "is he still here?" "yeah. i think so." "I'd like to meet this coyote." he thought so he gave the bartender the last of his coins for a cup of tea and sat down to wait for the wolf to come down the stairs.
(oh, so THAT'S where he came from. The island of Ream.)
EDIT: so are we going to get a story soon?...

i'm a coyote...
Malek slowly opened his eyes. He had slept well, and the sun was shining through the window. He got up, stretched, and dawned his clothing and equipment. He sipped some wine out of a small flask, then scratched his ears. he unsheathed his Flammenschwert and practiced his stance for a few moments, after a few moves he sheathed it and left his room. He walked down the short hall then turned to walk down the staircase. He paused for a moment, seeing a fox staring at him. Then moved to the bar, and greeted the keep. "Morning." Malek said. "Aye, it be morning a'ight." "You have any coffee?" Malek asked. "How do you want it?" The keeper asked. "Black." Malek replied. "The fox there was interested to here you had Ream currency," The barkeeper said. Malek glanced at the fox. "Go talk to him, i'll bring you the coffee, no one ever asks for it, so i wont charge you." Malek thanked the keep and walked over the the table Wyit was waiting at. "Hello." Malek said.

"I was born and trained on Ream." Malek said, sitting down. "What of it?"
(short posts for my dialogs, but it has to be that was for his social and mental build to follow in the storyline.)

Jimmy: Well I guess the OP hadn't really thought up of a story, I suppose I could make one. For now, people can kind of fool around I 'spose, maybe we'll try to come up with a storyline as we go along.
Inferti awoke from slumber maybe a few hours later. His species needed very infrequent sleep due to a fast metabolism. As feral creatures, this meant a very short lifespan; as an anthropomorphism, it meant high energy, and plenty of it to spare for sometimes 3 days at a time (Note; this is true about Maras, they're known to not sleep for several days). He put the light armor back on and sheathed his dagger and bludgeon, just in case. Climbing up the stairs, he scaled one of the walls of his fort deftly and got up to an archer tower. Naturally growing moss shielded him from sight while a small opening allowed him to survey the surroundings. He saw a feral bear drinking from a stream, and it raised its head and crawled towards the den it called home. Bear meat is nutritious, could last me a long time too. he thought as he rolled swiftly off the tower and swung against the edge where he hit the side. He relaxed his muscles and slid down at a fast pace, but not fast enough to get hurt. Being downwind, he was able to sneak up until the bear was maybe 30 feet away. Perhaps I should have brought my sword... oh, well. Climbing up a tree, he sprang off the surface and used his momentum to rotate in mid-air. He caught the lazy, sleepy bear by the neck as he flew past it and overturned it onto its back, then swung a leg and snapped a paw out of place. The bear roared before the bludgeon came down hard onto its head, knocking it out with a hideous crack. After he cut the jugular with his dagger to ensure the bear was dead, Inferti dragged it back painfully to his hideout and then filleted the skeleton out almost perfectly. The fresh meat was put into storage and he decided to preserve the skeleton; it might be of some kind of use later. Meanwhile, he slipped his tunic back on to hide his light armor, which could easily stop any indirect attack, sheathed his sword and his throwing knives, and headed back to town after securely closing up the fort.
~In Town~
Inferti walked towards the tavern he'd been at last night and slipped inside, slid into an empty booth, and waited to see if any of his 'associates' or 'customers' might stop by. He noticed Wyit, the fox from before, at another booth, speaking to a Coyote. Hmm... might go say 'hi' after he finishes.

Malek paused to slyly observe the newcomer. He smells like blood... Malek turned back to Wyit. "My name, though it means nothing as to who i am, is Malek. I was the disciple of Raheam, Ream's greatest hero. I am a wayward adventurer searching for unique experiences that i may gain knowledge from. I am to return to Ream in 8 years, and pass that knowledge on to a disciple." The barkeeper brought Malek a mug of hot black coffee. "You know, since you got here, there's been no trouble at all in here." the keep said. "I prefer not to provoke conflict, and it seems i have a calming effect on people..." Malek replied. "Well you're welcome here, today's been a nice change from last night..." the keep said. the barkeeper walked away, and Malek turned back to Wyit. "You say you are from Ream as well?"

The door of the tavern opened and a lioness stepped through the doorway. Inferti looked up briefly from his drink and didn't pay any attention, or at least pretended not to. She only ordered water at the counter and drank from the glass greedily. For some reason, Inferti thought he recognized her- he had no family that he was aware of, and many of his associates were either assassins or some related to him by his work. What kind of clan uses lions... I know I've heard of a pure-bred Pride not too far away in Damas. As his eyes flickered up again, he saw the lioness reach into her pocket casually and close around something... the shape was outlined in her hand, the contour visible through a pocket. Inferti's eyes shot wide and with a huge bang he shot off from his table and grabbed the arm of the assassin an inch before it stopped into the neck of the barkeep. Her face registered shock, but she reacted quickly enough and tried to sweep Inferti off his feet. He used the move against her for leverage and hurled her over his shoulder, leaving behind the small knife in his hand. As she got up and reached for a back-up, he threw it and pinned her in the left wrist, and then moved forward with a kick that she caught in her right hand and used it to twist his ankle out. This happened within seconds, but at that point Wyit rose up and smacked the lioness in the neck with his foot, sending her sprawling and knocking her out. Inferti painfully twisted his ankle back into place and sat down at a table while the barkeep and several onlookers simply stared. Now I know where I've seen her before... a rival assassin, huh? Why in the hell would her Pride send her to attack a barkeep? Inferti looked at the barkeep. "Who would try to kill you, Robert? (need some kind of generic name for this minor character.)" Robert just shook his head. "I have no idea, that's why I'm so shocked."
{Hokai, so this will basically spill out into a war between main forces (Such as Wolf Armies, Raider Armies, Rabbit Armies, other anthropomorphism' forces, and assassins) and there will be an escalation of where it engulfs Lugaru in war, and then off-island forces began arriving.}

(yay!, a story!)
Wyit sat back down. "well, i was borne on a ship heading to the island. i can't quiet remember who the ship belonged to. it was so long ago. all i remember from the ship is a rabbit with a scar covering his left eye, and no ears. any way when i we there my mother manged to escape from who ever kept us captive she manged to hide me with a local and ran the other direction." Wyit sighed and said "that's the story of how i got there but i think the story of what i did there should be left for a
different time"

"I seem to recall a slave ship attempting to raid Ream..." Malek said. "I was 8 at the time, but already i could fight better than many of the pirates. i remember watching a scuffle break out on the deck of the ship as they began to retreat. it must have been you and your mother, as a woman carrying a child jumped from the ship and carried the child to a smell hut where she left the baby with a woman i believe was named Jenka. your mother must have love you very much to have risked herself like that. i'm not sure what happened to your mother, but i do not believe the slavers recaptured her." Malek finished his coffee. He glanced at Inferti, then nodded to the unconscious lioness. She was starting to stir, releasing a low moan. Inferti turned, but Malek stood, walked casually over, drew his shoge, and knocked the big cat out again. Malek sat down again after putting the shoge back in his belt. "Could tell us a few things later, but for now, she can stay unconscious."

as the sun sets Ogier is a good few miles away from town, and decides to head off to bed, so he gets off the side of the path and beds down for the night.

Inferti agreed, then asked, "By the way... you say you're from Ream, the port city?" Malek gave a nod in response. "Ah... I've been there before on several occasions for... business affairs, if you will. Very nice socially near the center, but the outskirts where the guards are scarce harbor a lot of thugs and pirates." Malek nodded knowingly again. "I had to train myself how to defend against them. Many of them won't cause much trouble, unless they have connections to professional killers. For some reason, I've never been able to find an assassin and use their, er, services." Malek said with a grin. Inferti gave an ironic smile and said nothing, but instead dragged the lioness out of the tavern into the room where Malek was staying. "I've rather obviously got some questions for her when she wakes." Inferti said. "By the way, you two stay alert. Assassins are very unpredictable in close quarters." I would know Inferti said to himself.

"wait, so these Assassins are going to try and kill us now?" Wyit inquired.

"Not likely. We could speed things up a bit by waking her up." Malek said. "She's out cold, you hit her pretty hard." Wyit said. "I'll hit her even harder," Malek leaned over and spoke loudly into the cats ear. "If she doesn't stop faking unconsciousness!" The cat's eyes opened and she lounged sideways at Malek. He had his shoge out already, and brought the point up the her throat, choking her with her own momentum. he brought his foot forward and knocked her back onto the bed. He unsheathed his Flammenschwert and held it above the cats throat. "I advise you to lay still, we need answers, and i don't think you're ready to die."
