so, any one played it with other people? no? nether have i. but there is a small very small movement to get tribes 2 back. i am currently looking for a website to down load it. if any of you have a website please tell me. not sure even how many people know about this game. maybe the forums can all join up and play a game! oh... crap wait... i think i know of a way to actually get online I'll put it up once i can get to it. (it'll probably take a day or two right now it is Jan 19th 2009)

I played the original Tribes game recently (I downloaded the full game), because it was apparently supposed to be groundbreaking and influential in terms of FPS games. However, I found out that its combat mechanics were severely broken. Either that or the learning curve is huge, as I was unable to master the controls in any way. I got fed up with the game, the first few games weren't even fun.

yes it was but i am talking about tribes 2
not tribes 1. i am currently close to getting the online patch. but i still need to figure out how to work it then i'll post it and tell you guys how to use it. that is if ANYONE is interested please tell me if you are.

Yeah sure I'd be interested in downloading Tribes 2 as long as it doesn't have broken game mechanics like Tribes 1 does. And as long as it's legal to downloaded free, like Tribes 1 was.

Holy shit, how did I not see this topic? tribes 2 was my favorite game, way back when (lol, 'way back')

I think I might have the disk somewhere. crap... now that I think about it it's probably lost. gawrwrwrwr. meh, anyways, how do you propose we bring this game back?

"we"?..... WE?!..... you mean them. THEY have brought it back! (by them i mean the frontrow crew. aka geek nights) they manged to get online working. THEY are populating the severs. THEY are the ones who inspired me to make this thread.... so thank them not me.

what I hope to do is bring more players to tribes 2.
