figure while gliding these troopers main targets will be bird-mounted calvary. They would have two types of attacks a glide-by slash and a sumersault style chop (watch the video for details).

Upon landing they need to remove the wings fast, the legs could be designed as a single large pocket that they simply pull their feet out of and fastners along the sleeves allow for the removal of the rest. Should take slightly longer than the time to reload a seige crossbow (~3 sec maybe) during this time they would be highly vulnerable to attack. Also they only glide down, no true flight. They launch at the begining of a battle from high branches or as passengers on bird mounts. Once landed they are just normal infantry.

Squirrels. This game has already won. However, I don't feel like saying anything smart or helpful, I just wanted to get that out there.

This is why they need four arms. :P
He could be a suicide bomber.
He drops out of the plane and tries to run someone through with those swords on his way down.
xD
"It's raining suicide bombers, hallelujah, It's raining suicide bombers, oh yeah" (Sing to the tune of "It's raining men") :D
